Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To get quotes, we only need your gender, birth date, desired coverage amount, preferred term length, your health level, and tobacco use status. Personal details like your name, address, and medical history are requested only if you move forward with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are the rates each carrier is quoting for the tier you selected. They're provided for reference only. Your actual rate, tier assignment, and approval are determined by the carrier's underwriting process. This site makes no guarantees about cost or coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

Your information pre-fills a secure form on the carriers' application platform, and the process is managed through Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agent (License 0B75129). You can save your progress and come back, and you sign electronically. Nothing is finalized until a policy is issued and accepted.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the specific carrier, the amount requested, and your health profile. Some carriers have accelerated approval programs that don't require an exam for qualified people; each quote indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed for that particular product.

Is a longer term better?

The right term depends on your obligations. Term coverage exists to protect your family during the years when your income matters most—when a mortgage exists, children are at home, or a business loan is outstanding. Longer terms mean higher monthly costs but lock in your rate for a longer period. The quote tool lets you try 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. We don't collect contact data through the quote tool, we don't trade or give out visitor information, and our measurement doesn't use cookies or identifiers. Visit our privacy page for the specifics of what is gathered and by whom.
